Dear Members and Friends,

We are reaching out to you in light of the recent devastating Typhoon Yagi that struck northern Vietnam. This severe storm has caused significant destruction, impacting countless lives and leaving many communities in urgent need of support.

We are encouraged to see that many companies with a presence in the affected regions have already launched their own relief efforts. To complement these efforts and to provide an avenue for those not directly present in the area, DBAV & The Royal Dutch Embassy have launched a collective initiative through which members of our community can contribute to the relief efforts. By working together, we can pool our resources and make a substantial difference in the recovery process.

To ensure that our efforts are both effective and well-directed, we will cooperate with the Management and Sustainable Development Institute(MSD) to provide relief for the devastating consequences of typhoon Yagi. Specifically we will support direct relief actions as well as focusing on long-term recovery of livelihoods and investing in disaster management of the future.

Concretely this means:

  1. We will provide essential supply packages to the most vulnerable households affected by Typhoon Yagi in Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province;
  2. Distribute gift packages containing necessary items to students in the affected regions, and;
  3. Prepare the second recovery phase for communities in Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, and Son La to prepare for long-term relief measures.

We invite everyone, both in Ho Chi Minh City and surroundings, as well as our partners in the Netherlands, to support this vital cause. Your donations will provide essential relief and aid in rebuilding lives. Together, we can make a significant difference. Please consider donating and sharing this initiative with your networks.

Thank you for your support.

Warm regards,
